From classic vintage clothing to modern style, the world of fashion is forever booming. fashion excites youngsters, it define who we are and  it is a way of expressing oneself  without saying a word. Zinhle is a driven, passionate fashionista with a creative mind. She started a blog to share with the worls her sentiments and the love she has for fashion.

      Describe yourself?

If you must know anything about me, it is that my ambition knows no bounds. I am a Journalism graduate, Philosophy Master's student, writer, journalist and blogger with a serious penchant for fashion, style, art, hip hop and sports. Carine Roitfeld, Hedi Slimane, Pharrell, A$AP, Kendrick, Kanye, Iggy, Azealia, Kreayshawn, Vashtie, Rihanna and Anna Dello Russo are just some of the people I am inspired by. My heart is South African; my soul leans towards Europe but is married to America.

    Why a fashion blog – who inspired you and why? Style icon?

 I started my blog in 2009 when I was in the first year of my Journalism degree. My blog was basically a place for me to practise my writing and indulge my passion for fashion. My plan was to become a fashion journalist and so that is why I created a fashion blog and not any other kind of blog. I was inspired by the fashion blogs I saw sprouting up in the States and Europe – Betty Autier’s ‘Le Blog de Betty’, Rumi Neely’s ‘Fashion Toast’ and Anjelica Lorenz’s ‘Mode Junkie’ are some of the blogs that inspired my blog. I was inspired by these blogs because I love these bloggers’ sense of style - their mix of casual streetwear with high-end designs. I also consider these bloggers as my style icons. I prefer the style of ordinary people over some of the style icons people ordinarily choose. And to these bloggers, I would three other people as my style icons – A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, and Rihanna.

     

   What is fashion to you? What does fashion mean to you?

Fashion is a means of expression. Fashion is about having my attire reflect my beliefs without having to utter a word. I want my garments to live in synchronicity with my core values. What I wear is basically an extension of myself.

           

How did you get into fashion?      

    I started liking fashion in high school and then when I started my blog, and with the success that came from it, my love for fashion grew even more. I actually got to write articles for magazines, feature in editorials and adverts, and from experiencing the inner world of fashion, my love for it as grown.   

What makes the characteristic of your style?My style is hip hop inspired. I wear a lot of black and leather and I definitely all about comfort. I do like to switch up though. I can be girly if I want to though.
